I came across my blog and realized I hadn't been on here in so long that my google doesn't even autofill the website anymore. :O (I wish I could do emojis on here haha). However I've always done my yearly recaps on here and wanted to continue that tradition.

Filming a Beauty and the Beast styled wedding with a bunch of other great vendors. It turned out so pretty!

A video shoot inspired by the fabulous tv show Good Girls Revolt

Having a killer Valentine's Day party. I've never really been a huge V-Day celebrator before, but Amanda is super into it which helped my attitude. It definitely ended up being the best Valentine's I've ever had.

Watching SO MANY tv shows! such as: Game of Thrones, The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Schitt's Creek, Sweet Vicious, Jane the Virgin, The Carrie Diaries, GLOW, Veronica Mars (still need to see the movie!), Don't Trust the B**** in Apt 23, the end of PLL (boo - to it ending and also the ending), Big Little Lies, The Handmaid's Tale, Freaks and Geeks, Riverdale, The OC, and Stranger Things s2 - these are not in order of importance because there are several shows on here I can't even rank I loved them so much.

Producing, filming and editing Stoneybrook Revisited: A Babysitter's Club Fan Film for AJP. We had an all-female crew and things were so efficient that we had several hours of down time on set. It was also my first time filming a series in traditional camera format and I am so pleased with myself for how cute it turned out.

Going to New York with Amanda! The best part of this trip was seeing all the friends that lived there (and the LA friends who were there the same time as us) and also getting to see some really excellent theater - Present Laughter, The Play that Goes Wrong, Puffs, and The Phantom of the Opera. Also getting to go to the GORGEOUS Frick Collection. The best part about this trip was that since we had both been to New York several times before, we didn't have to do any of the touristy things and just did exactly what we wanted to do. It was honestly so much fun.

SIDNEY COMING HOME! My sister had been serving an LDS mission for a year and half in Arizona but it was a huge highlight of the year to have her come home in May.

Getting raises at both of my jobs (main and side)!

The lantern festival in May. We got hired to face paint at this and made some killer tips and also got to float some lanterns. The event was slightly disorganized but it was so much fun because of the people I was with.

Taking a very chill hike with my family on Memorial Day. We normally get together with the whole extended family for every single holiday and it was nice to celebrate this one with just us.

Seeing Carrie Underwood for the 7th time in a surprise concert on June 17, 2017. More details in a later post, because this is a story that deserves its own.

Spending the majority of the year working on Lily Evans and the Stroke of Midnight. This was 100% the best part of my year. I LOVED filming and editing this film and I am so sosososo happy with how it turned out. We had a crazy amount of hiccups in the production process and so many things went wrong. But man, it was awesome, which was largely due to the people. Our cast and crew were great, and so many of our friends flew in to help us on set. It was so fun to work on something together in one place and it definitely bonded us all.

Turning 26 in October!

Growing out my nails! This is probably my biggest success, because anyone who knows me knows I have been an incessant nail biter since my early days of life. It's definitely a process but my nails look and feel so much healthier and I actually love them.

Getting the love of my life - my ipad - and learning how to illustrate on procreate.

Watching Stranger Things and celebrating Halloween in October. Also helping Amanda with all her Costober stuff was super fun.

Remaking the Parks and Rec intro with my family, continuing that new annual tradition.

Writing and directing a very cute Christmas short in December! We just filmed it one morning and did it with a bunch of our friends. I'm really proud of this because I put the whole thing together, made it happen, and it honestly was super fun to do.

I love this blog because it gives me a voice that I don't often use to speak out loud, and I kind of miss that. So I may be posting on here a bit more often that I have in the past. I'm really trying not to give empty promises this year so hopefully I can stick to it! (also honestly I don't even know if anyone reads this anymore, but I always wrote for myself more anyway.)

Shake it OFF

So on Monday we had a ward talent show, and it was so much fun! It was supposed to be back in January, and I wanted to make a music video for it, so a couple months ago, we got a bunch of the ward members together and filmed all over campus (sorry, that was a really long sentence haha!). We had a pretty good time and I loved getting to edit and put it together. Let me know what you think!


I'm pretty happy I found this hobby of mine, because I really like it. :)

Oh! In other, WAY more exciting news, Carrie Underwood had her baby yesterday! So exciting! They named him Isaiah Michael Fisher and I wanna see a picture so bad but at the same time I wanna respect their privacy haha. His birthday is exactly one week before Carrie's, such fun!

Alex and Courtney's Proposal Video

So my cousin Alex is almost exactly a year younger me and seriously one of my best friends. We were always really close when we were younger and then his family moved to Boston (the aunt and uncle I stayed with while I was there are his parents!) and we didn't get to see each other as much. But after he got back from his mission he moved to Provo so it's been way fun to reconnect and hang out more!

I was so excited when Alex told me he was proposing to his girlfriend Courtney (who I'm also pretty good friends with because I got to know her well while I was out in Boston) and let me film it all!

I seriously love Alex and Courtney SO much and couldn't be more excited for their engagement! They've dated on and off since they were in high school, so its kind of already felt like Courtney's been part of the family. It'll be great for it to finally be official in May. :)

Here's the proposal story if you wanna hear it:
Alex and Courtney had gone ring shopping and were going to get the ring custom designed, but it wouldn't be in for about 5 weeks, so Courtney didn't think the proposal would be happening for a while. But Alex decided to get another ring from a local shop so that he could surprise her in proposing and get the ring sooner. Alex wanted Courtney to be completely surprised for the proposal, so he told her they were going up the canyon because one of his roommates had a big surprise for his fiance, and that I was there because I was going to film the whole thing (which I did..haha!). So we got up to the place where the fire was at and no one was there (as was the plan) and Courtney was super confused because she thought people should have been there. Then, as her back was turned, Alex's friends started walking up holding black posterboards in front of them that said "Marry Me" in glowsticks. As soon as she saw it, he got down on one knee and asked her to marry him. And she of course said yes! It was all really cute and she had absolutely NO idea so it was perfect.

Anyway, if that was all too long for you to read, the video is below, as well as some pictures that were taken by Alex's roommate Jae. I've never actually been a part of a proposal but it was so fun and I'm already excited for their wedding in May (which means I'm going to Boston!).

I LOVE My Job

I recently got hired as a videographer for the BYU Alumni Association and I'm just loving it all. The people I work with are great, the job location is great, and obviously the job itself is GREAT. Basically all I do is shoot and edit videos in my own little cubicle on a great desktop mac and it's a dream.

I feel super lucky to have gotten this job and it excites me every day!

Recently we've started a series on car care tips to promote BYU license plates and below is our first video. I had a great time shooting and putting it together so feel free to watch, it'll only take two minutes of your time. :)

Freshpet Video Shoot

December was such a fun month for many reasons, one of them being this awesome video shoot I got to be a part of! One of my best friends Alyne, and her husband Cameron (who was just chosen as one of the Forbes 30 under 30!) were working on a video for Freshpet, a pet food company, and they hired me to be the costume designer! The concept the whole idea was dogs eating with hands at a Christmas feast. It was a very ambitious idea, but we were totally able to pull it off!

You may have already seen the video, but if you haven't here it is. It racked up to over 15 million views on facebook and youtube combined!


This really was one of the most fun projects I've ever gotten to be a part of. I'm sure you can imagine the craziness of trying to get 13 dogs and a cat to all sit down at a table together, and it was nuts. For the most part though, all the dogs were really well-behaved (that was done on purpose) and it turned out so cute. I'm not even a huge dog person and I loved it.

I got to find all the costumes and put all the outfits together. I went thrift shopping for a lot and also found stuff at the mall and other places. It was really fun to be able to accessorize, like finding fun hats or getting together glasses for some of the dogs. The day of the shoot I was there to help dress dogs, fix any last minute things, and help with anything else needed. I never realized how much work often goes into making a video like this, but it takes a lot of time and effort!

Going back to school and taking fun (and scary at first) classes like Public Speaking and contemporary dance, where I did an end of semester solo.

Traveling on a two-day trip to California with Carina and going to Cheyenne twice in the summer with my family:

Getting to be the costume designer for this hilarious video. It went viral with 15 million views on facebook and youtube combined! Watch the behind the scenes video afterward and you'll see me a few times.

Running my first race at the Potter Run!

Learning how to use Adobe Premiere Pro, filming and editing some fun videos, and getting a new camera for Christmas from my parents (a Canon Rebel t5i!!!). I'm really excited to get more serious with videography in the future.

Ending the year with two weeks of amazing Christmas break with my family. Literally. It has been perfect. :)

For all of you visual people (which, if you're reading a blog, you're probably one of them) here's my year-end video. I keep watching it because it makes me feel good and happy :)


2014 was a really good year and I'm especially looking forward to 2015, because there are already so many fun things planned (college graduation, family reunion, weddings), as well as a lot of things unplanned and unknown (what am I doing after graduation, where will I live, etc.) so it will be fun to look back in a year and see all the changes, because I'm sure there will be many. Can't wait!

Heidi and Travis's Wedding Video! (and using Premiere Pro)

Heidi and Travis got married like three months ago and it took me that long to finally get around to making their wedding video (I wrote about their wedding at the end of this post). This is by far my most favorite wedding video (and possible just video in general) that I've made. I had a lot of fun adding effects and fun things. Check it out! It's eight minutes long, but you'll enjoy it, the wedding was way cute and so much fun.


Also, let me just say this, Adobe Premiere Pro is AWESOME.

It's the video editing software I've been using now and dang its been an improvement, especially since I was just using Windows Movie Maker before. Movie Maker is awesome for small, quick projects, it's free, and it's really easy to use, but on the negative side, it crashes ALL the time, you can't really edit the contrast of videos (so if it's dark, there isn't much you can do about it), the music gets off from the actual videos in the editing process, and the final product sometimes ends up with black spots in the middle of frames. Random stuff like that that really bugs me.

Premiere Pro is a way more professional software and I was super intimidated when I started to use it. I went back to Movie Maker because that was what I knew but then I got frustrated again and decided I was just going to buck up and learn Premiere Pro! And once you get the hang of it, it's really pretty easy. There are endless amounts of tutorials on youtube to learn how to do whatever you want on there, so that's what I did, and it's turned out pretty great so far. You have a lot more control, like over editing lighting and what you want the music to do or where exactly you want your videos, etc. I love being able to add transitions like light leaks (at the beginning of the video above and throughout), split screen (at 6:11 and other places) and cool other effects like making the video look older (one of my favorite parts! Its at 2:53).

Anyway, to say it in a nutshell, I'm so happy with how this video turned out and I'm excited to make more!

Also, if you are getting married and need a wedding videographer, email me! I would love to do it and am super cheap because I don't have a super professional camera or anything and am still learning. I feel like having some sort of footage from your wedding is so important, and it doesn't necessarily have to cost you a ton of money. But seriously, email me and we can work something out. :)

In other exciting news..Taylor Swift's new album came out today! You can bet I'll be listening to it aaaaaalll day week month LIFE long. So happy Monday to the world pretty much. And if you don't like Taylor, "the haters gonna hate hate hate hate hate!" haha.

Fashion Friday: The Making of an Haute Couture Gown, and Other Thoughts on the Fashion Industry

I realize the phrase "Fashion Friday" is nothing too original and sounds like something you might use in a kindergarten class, but it works, so bear with me here.. But whenever I see a cool or funny video or something to that effect, I bookmark it so I can watch it later if I want, or just have a funny youtube video marathon one day! So I have a bunch of cool fashion videos saved and I figured I'd share one every Friday because that sounds fun, right? Okay maybe it only sounds fun to me, but we're gonna do it anyway.

Today's video shows the process of making an haute couture look. It's a Christian Dior from their Spring/Summer 2011 haute couture collection. I realize it's seven minutes, which is kind of long, but if you at least watch the first two or three you get the gist of things. I couldn't help but watch the whole thing but that's because I love to sew and design and it all mesmerized me so much!


After watching this, I realized one of the reasons why haute couture is so expensive, because holy cow, that look must have taken ages to make. I love their meticulousness, with all the white thread sewn to keep the pieces together, how carefully and precisely they cut each piece of fabric, and how they treat everything so delicately. Oh and those pleats! That was really cool. Also the tulle layering had such a beautiful effect on the runway. It's kind of funny how they all wear white coats, it reminded me of a lab or something. I guess that's so they don't get the clothes they're working on dirty? Though it seems a little excessive to me.

Oh also, I wish those people who made these things got credited somehow! It seems a little unfair that the designer gets credited for the garment when it really seems like these people do the brunt of the work. That would be an interesting thing to look at and go more into depth on.

Something I've been struggling with lately in fashion is wondering what the point of it all is. A part of me can't help but think they're just clothes. But another part of me wants to ooh and ahh at the sight of it all because it is really really beautiful.

It can be pretty easy to get caught up in either extreme...hating the fashion industry because it can seem so pointless and shallow, or loving it all because of the beauty and thinking it's all perfect. It's not perfect. The fashion industry has flaws--many of them--that I'm trying to get past so that I can continue to do what I love. But it is a beautiful form of art as well and it has a right to be appreciated.

It definitely makes me feel something when I see a gorgeous garment and have to take a breath because it's just perfection. I love seeing that and I hope to one day create it. I'm working at it but I know I'm not even close to being there yet.

I guess it's just important to look at fashion with an eye from each perspective. It's good to be aware of the issues in the fashion industry and it's great to try and change those things for the better. And it's also still very much okay to love fashion in all its beauty and art. Right now I think I'm trying to figure out how to have a happy middle ground in between the two. It's kind of difficult, but I think it's very doable too.

Anyway, I think I'll probably talk more about that in the months to come...I'm giving a persuasive speech in my public speaking class on it and once it all comes together maybe I'll put a copy of the speech on here or just write a blog post on what I talked about. But for now, enjoy your Friday night and the rest of your weekend, I know I will! (And let's hope the Cougars can scrape out a win tonight against Boise State haha!)

Memorial Day 2014

Look at me, being so good at posting! Yay haha! I was reading a lot of my old blog posts the other day and realized how awesome it is to have my life documented here. So I'm going to try and be better at it. Don't take those words to heart though..

Memorial Day this year was great. Not gonna lie, my family (this includes relatives that live nearby--like my grandparents, and my aunt and uncle and their kids) is crazy. And sometimes it drives us cousins crazy. A lot of my mom's side lives close so we get together with them for Sunday dinners a lot and for holidays and stuff. It's fun and I love them to death, but it gets crazy I tell you. My mom and her family are from Guatemala but have lived in the US for a while (like 30 years or more than that) so I think problems arise when hispanic tendencies happen in an American culture. That doesn't really make sense but it happens.

For instance, they (the parents) have a hard time making decisions. And they also like not spending a lot of money. So we'll spend like ten minutes discussing different places that we can eat at with a coupon, and by the end of it, no decision will still be made, and in the end we often end up eating at a place with no coupon and everyone is just starving because they spent so much time deciding. Every year, Memorial Day is like the worst. Okay, not the worst, but definitely not the best ha. We try to go on a hike or do a picnic, but nobody can make decisions so it takes forever and just ends up being lame. One year, no joke, we couldn't decide where to have a picnic and at some point everyone was so hungry that we ended up just eating our food on the grassy area next to a building. Ladies and gentlemen, my family. ;)

But this year was maybe the best Memorial Day we've had! We got tickets ahead of time to ride the Heber Creeper, a fun train in Heber Valley. We did it like 15 years ago so I was a little kid and remembered having a blast, so it was fun to go again. Of course, we did end up being the last people on the train because we all got there like two minutes before it was about to leave (another thing about our family haha), but it was fun.  We ate a Dairy Keen afterward and had really good burgers and shakes. I'd definitely recommend eating there, it's so good! Oh and it's also been fun that our cousin Alex is now in Utah going to school here so we get to see him pretty regularly, I love it.

I bought these glasses for her at Claire's earlier in the day for $1...aren't they adorable?! A baby with hipster glasses>a a baby without them ;)

I didn't take a ton of pictures...buuuut I of course made a video! since I've been so into it lately. It's only two minutes and it's pretty cute so you should watch it if you want. :)

Also, I would just like to add that I really do love my family. Unfortunately the Saturday before, my car wouldn't start, and my dad and the rest of my family came to Provo to help me fix it on Monday. It was really great. My family might be crazy, but they're nice. And I love them.

a snowy day

It snowed on Thursday, which isn't always welcome to me, because driving in the snow is scary and it just makes everything colder. Thankfully, it was just wet snow, so driving wasn't a problem and by the next day it was all gone. But I knew I had to take advantage of the weather situation so after work I went and filmed this little video. Hope you enjoy it :)

Movie Making!

I've recently found a new hobby of mine in videography. It's a different way to document my life and it's fun to look back and watch them. I kind of wish I'd gotten into it earlier because there are so many things I would have loved to document this way. I'm not professional or anything but I definitely love it and would like to get better. I got a new camera in November and it takes way better videos so it's been fun to use. I figured it was probably easier to put them all in one post, since there are so many. I have a lot of stuff to update on that I might not get to, but these videos sum up the big events, and they may have to do.

At the end of June/beginning of July, I went on a vacation with my family to Moab in southern Utah. We've been on vacations to a lot of places outside of Utah but none actually in the state we live in, so it was fun to go and see all the arches and stuff.


August was a sad month because it became the end of an era for my old roommates and I. A few of us had gotten married and graduated and we were all going our separate ways and moving to different places. So to commemorate it I made a little video to our favorite theme song for ourselves. I love these girls to pieces..I will seriously never have better roommates.


I work at a daycare in the toddlers class and in December we had a little Christmas program. We practiced Jingle Bells A LOT but I knew that once the program came around and my kids were up at the front, they'd freeze and barely sing (I was right). So I filmed them a bunch over a couple of weeks and made a music video to show the parents at the program. It was way fun and the parents (and the todders--they kept wanting to watch it over and over again) loved it! Success. :)


At the beginning of December I went on a trip to NYC and Boston with my family. My aunt and uncle take their family every year since my aunt works for Jet Blue and her whole family gets to fly standby for free. So we decided to tag along this year. We had some trouble getting there, but we had a BLAST. We have relatives in Boston too so it was great to see them.


One of my old roommates and best friend (featured in the 22 video above) Olivia got back from the LDS mission she served in Brazil in December, and since all my old roommates were back in town for Christmas break (a plus of all of us being from Utah) we were able to go get her from the airport! She had a five hour layover in the Salt Lake airport before going home so we took her out to lunch and got to see her before her family! It was definitely one of the best days ever. And now I feel pretty lucky because Olivia is living in my apartment complex and I see her almost daily. Its great.

Kelsey and Scott's Wedding Video

I have found a new hobby of mine in taking videos. I'm not sure how much my friends quite like it, as now they're being filmed a lot more than they ever were before, but I think it's fun. I like capturing the moments and being able to watch them like you were once there. It's like the pictures are the words, but videos are sentences. Both are important, but you get a little bit more from a sentence.

My camera doesn't take half-bad videos so I've been having fun playing around with it. I blogged about Kelsey and Scott's wedding a few days ago, and I also took a bunch of videos on their wedding day and compiled them, so if you'd like to see it, here it is! Obviously it's nothing professional or even close to it, but I had a lot of fun making it and I like being able to remember the happy and fun feelings of the day when I watch it. :) Let me know what you think!

Grand Canyon Video

So you might remember a post I wrote about a roadtrip my friends I took to the Grand Canyon back in April (here's the post). If you didn't read it, you totally should because it was such a fun trip! Anyway, in addition to taking a gazillion photos, I also took a gazillion and one videos while we were there. And then did nothing with them. Okay, well that's actually not true. Back in May one night I was working on compiling them into one video and I finished the whole thing on Windows Movie Maker and was just about to save when...it crashed. :( And since I hadn't been saving the whole thing throughout the way, all my work was totally gone. Obviously by that point I was super frustrated and was like, "fine I'll just make it again later. Grrr." But I never did make it again and those videos have sat in a folder gathering cyberdust. I couldn't just do nothing with them though, so last night I finally buckled down and made a video (making sure to save very frequently) of our grand canyon trip. I don't claim to be any sort of videographer, but here is the video. Enjoy!

Now that it's all said and done, I'm super happy that I took those videos. Videos can capture so much more than pictures sometimes, ya know? Anyway, I hope you liked it!

P.S. NY Fashion Week starts TODAY!! So wish I were there. But I suppose I will be happy do my own fashion show on Saturday (it's in TWO days, can you believe it?!).

4 Days :)

Don't worry, I didn't forget about the countdown! Today has been crazy busy and oh so fun. This morning and afternoon we watched general conference (changes in missionary ages anyone? ahhh, it's crazy and super exciting!!) which was really great. I always look forward to the first week in October and April! In between sessions we opened my birthday presents (more on that later) and after the afternoon session we left to go eat my birthday dinner so we could get done before the priesthood session. During the priesthood session we took a little DI trip and I didn't buy anything--definitely a first for me! After that we picked up my dad and brother and we went out with the whole family--relatives included--to Leatherby's to eat the best ice cream and hot fudge you could ever have. And now I'm back. I told you it was crazy! And now I will talk about Carrie Underwood.

Today for just a fun, lighthearted song I'll share "All American Girl." Honestly, it doesn't really have any special meaning to me, other than the fact that it's a girly song and I'm a total girly-girl so it's perfect for me. This is another one of my favorite songs by Carrie--probably in the top five--and I just really love it. The music video is cute too so I'll post that. Fashion Friday: Fashion's Night Out!

Last night I had the awesome opportunity to go to Fashion's Night Out!

Basically it's the biggest fashion event in the world because it was happening everywhere! It's a night of shopping and fashion shows. It also kicks off New York Fashion Week in NYC, which is now going on (gah, SO wish I was there!). The Utah one was being held in Fashion Place mall and I got lucky enough to win VIP passes from my friend's Madison and Lauren's blog Awkward Girls. I got to bring a guest so I invited my sister Carina to come along with me. It was great! We got to go in a roped off area where they served delectable desserts from Brio Tuscan Grille and they gave us cute tote bags with lots of swag. We also got great seating for all the fashion shows which was a lot of fun. The fashion shows featured students from SLCC's fashion institute as well as a lot of fashions from the stores in the mall. They had other stuff going on as well. They took pictures of us (this is the one from my camera but they'll be posted on Salt Lake magazine's facebook page), had fashion illustrations (we're going to get ours emailed to us because the girl doing it didn't have enough time there to finish), a free photobooth, and shopping of course!

Contrary to popular belief, I am indeed the older sister, although I am shorter and look younger. What is this?! (oh and I made my shorts! I wish there was a better picture of them)

After the fashion shows were done and the mall closed down, they had an after party for the VIPs at Brio Tuscan Grille with live music and more yummy fancy food. Carina and I went there for a little bit after and then had to head home because it was getting late.

Yep, I had a blast. And it made me realize even more about how much I love fashion. Every day I love it more and more and I get bigger dreams. I never realized something could make me so happy...nothing really ever quite met the bar for me, but fashion came along and I adore it. All those years of stumbling around got me somewhere, thank goodness!

I ended the night with a bathroom mirror picture. I tend to take these a lot, but I've realized the pattern! I take these photos of myself whenever I'm happy, and I don't want to forget how happy I looked or felt.

Ironing Board Fail

So I bought this really cute ironing board at DI a few months ago, but it became problematic when one day, the board just refused to fold down. We seriously tried everything, laying it down, standing it up. And everyone that came over took a shot at trying to get our ironing board to fold. But it would not go, that stubborn thing. So it sat standing in our living room for about a week and a half. For the Hunger Games party we had to put it upstairs in one of our rooms haha. I took the cover off because it was really cute and we were just going to donate the board back to DI but then decided people there might not even want it if they couldn't get it to fold down. So we went outside and decided to just throw it in the dumpster just outside our complex. Haha this is what happened.


Heidi and I laughed so hard when we watched this and I don't even know why! But pretty much we though it was hilarious. A day in the life, eh?

How Far Will You Go?

If you lived in Panem and were eligible for the Hunger Games, who would you volunteer yourself for? Katniss loved Prim with all her heart and she did everything in her absolute power to keep Prim's name from being drawn. And yet, the name was still drawn, and Katniss went one step further by volunteering for her sister. Can you imagine?

Katniss knew what she was volunteering for--she'd watched the games, seen kids her own age go compete in them and die. She's seen how brutally horrible the games are, how some tributes die a slow death, tortured by the careers, and how some die quickly before they even realize what's happening. She sees Haymitch, the town drunk and the only still surviving District 12 victor who has no loved ones and who spends his days drinking, trying to forget the nightmares he experienced in the games. Katniss sees and knows all of this, yet when Prim's name is drawn, she doesn't even question yelling out, "I volunteer! I volunteer as tribute." Every single time I see that part in the trailer, I get chills. Every single time.

How far would you go for someone you love? Who could you love so much that you would be willing to volunteer your life into the Hunger Games for? It'd be a huge price to pay, going into that arena, with the odds in your favor of dying. Who, if their name were drawn from the bowl, would cause you to not even think twice and yell, "I volunteer! I volunteer as tribute."

Beautiful Heartbreaks

Hm. I'm just at a loss of what to write for this post. Actually maybe not. I have been watching or listening to this video multiple times every day this week. It is absolutely beautiful and comforting. Watch it. :)



Really, that song is amazing. With things I struggle with, or have struggled with, lately I've been so mad that I have them. It's not my fault that I struggle with certain things or have different trials, and it is not my fault that some of those things I have to choose to overcome and that they are so difficult to handle. Life is just so hard. But watching this video has been incredibly helpful because it let me realize that when these things happen, the view absolutely wonderful when you overcome them. The harder the challenge, the better the view...And it can become such a beautiful heartbreak to overcome these things. Because no, it's not my fault that I have different trials. But how wonderful if I can overcome them and turn them into something beautiful.

I think about Stephanie Nielson (in the video) and how she was burned by a fire, but no one looks at her as a problem or a trial. She is just seen as beautiful. Beautiful because she overcame something incredibly hard. I want to be like Stephanie and others like her one day. Anyways..those are just my thoughts of the day..

On a completely different sidenote, I really love this outfit. Red and yellow look just lovely together. And they are fall colors that can never go out of season! Plus the glasses just add something else altogether..something awesome haha. And one more sidenote....HAPPY HALLOWEEN! I will be sure to spill all the deets on my costume and Halloween events and such tomorrow!
