You know what is happy in life?

  -spending time with best friends
  -thrifting trips
  -getting letters in the mail
  -playing the guitar
  -roommates
  -dessert
  -cute places to eat dessert such as The Chocolate
  -amazing classes with teachers that really teach you not only about the subject of class but also teach you things that are applicable in your life--my human development teacher has this great quality
  -the prophet coming to give a devotional at my school!
  -finding Sperry shoes at DI (a thrift store)
  -not wearing any makeup but still feeling okay about it
  -writing meaningful posts

These are some of the simple joys in my life that I experienced yesterday. I didn't even look at yesterday as an awesome day, just a day, but now looking back on it, it was an incredible day! I think if we look for that every day we will find that every single day we live is truly incredible and something worth living for. :)

And I'm done with my tests and skirt! I'm so happy! And guess what?! Only 1 more day of 30 for 30!! That's why I'm showing a 1 in the last picture ha. You can tell I'm excited. I would write more but I'm so tired right now. Last night I fell asleep at my laptop and woke up at some random time in the night apparently and then on yesterday's post I--or someone else?--wrote "goodnight :)" at the end of the post and published it. I have no recollection of that whatsoever. But I fixed it yesterday morning and wrote the whole "an outfit a day.." stuff. Anyways it was pretty funny although I woke up very confused. I'm still confused about it. There's your funny story for the day.

Oh and actually something else that's funny is that I wore my hair down today (I did yesterday too) in it's natural state--straight and down--just because I haven't had a lot of time to do it the past few days due to midterms and projects. But bunch of people noticed my hair and said it looked great. And I realized it's because I hardly ever wear my hair this way! Weird huh? I used to just wear it down like this every day but this year I've gotten into styling it and having fun with my hair. But it's funny because some people don't even know how I "normally" wear my hair. There! I gave you a kind of long post and two great stories. Happy Wednesday!!

Busy Girl

I wore this amazing outfit (that I did love quite a lot) while....working at the bookstore, baking cookies, going back later and doing inventory at work (afterwards, I just had beeping ringing in my head :P), going to a J.Wride concert (which was pretty amazing..you should go to their website or facebook page and listen to their music! The new album is incredible), and then hanging out with my roommates and some guys in our ward. That sums up Friday night perfectly. Now I'm home as I'm writing this and so happy to be with my family! So if you'll excuse me, I'm going to go play with my four year old sister. Because as much as I love this blog.... I love her a whole lot more. ;)

Original? 8? I stink at guy's fashion...no idea really. But I thought their matchiness and coordination was pretty original ;)

Photo Shoot

The high yesterday was 46 degrees. For some of you that might seem cold, but in Utah, it means to run outside and hope that spring is coming. It was so warm! So I decided to take my pictures outside. I drove along and found this stable place (with no horses) and loved it. Also, I really love these pictures and the outfit. I took these pictures myself, and not gonna lie, i'm pretty proud. What do you think? :)

A Few Important Announcements...

Let's "announce" some stuff, shall we?

1. I took pictures outside! It was soooo cold though. My hand were pretty much numb when I got back in my car. But..I like how the pictures turned out and it was a change, so I will probably suffer again. Oh how I sacrifice for this blog... ;)

2. It's Friday! Nuff said.

3. I know this is an outfit blog, but I don't have much to say about the outfit. Go figure. But I like it? Oh and I came up with it in about 3 minutes considering the fact I woke up late today and had 20 minutes to get ready. I'm pretty proud of how I looked today looking at that piece of info.

4. Remember how a while ago I talked about how my boss let me pick all the spring women's clothes for the bookstore? (the non-Down East Basics clothes because we don't get to pick what comes from them.) Well the clothes are in!! I'm so excited because we have some really cute ones. Once everything is out and set up, I will try to take some pictures of it all and post it on here! Because I'm pretty happy about it. It especially made me happy today when random girls would come through and say, "That's so cute! I want it!", because it happened multiple times and I so badly wanted to shout out, "I PICKED THAT!!! I'm so cool!!" But I resisted. Probably a good thing...

Simplicity Can Speak Too

This outfit is so simple. Yet I still love it and I still felt pretty fashionable. This Gap sweater was so comfy and the color was adorable. And I liked the scarf with it. That scarf pretty much goes with anything..it's wonderful! I tried wearing a necklace with this but it just didn't work. No flow. :P And I wore my trusty shoes again that I wore yesterday. I'm in love. But I think I might possibly fall in love with all my clothes because I find myself saying that all the time. Oh well..the more love the better, right?

Oh and basically, I adore sewing class. It's the thing for me! I had it for four hours today and the time went by so fast. I was in pure bliss. We will be working on pajama pants soon and I can't wait! Did you know they have fabric at Ikea? Yeah, neither did I! I got my fabric there as well as my sewing supplies. It was great and their fabric is way cheap but SUPER cute. Ikea has that whole modern vibe going on throughout the store and it definitely shows through their fabric. I'll probably be going back for more soon!

This is random also, but don't you love my clutch? It's Calvin Klein and I got it in the outlet in Park City. Love at first sight I tell you. And love at every sight after that. I pull it out and it just makes me happy. It's just a beautiful thing. Or else I'm weird...ha.

Sometimes...

Sometimes I wish...
-I were better at updating my blog (this outfit is from Thursday, I'm still sick and was this day, but decided to dress cute that day)
-I had cuter clothes or dressed more fashionably
-I wasn't sick with a cough, runny/stuffy nose, aches, chills, and shortness of breath.
-That I had a better camera
-That I didn't bite my lips or my nails :P

Then I remember...
-That I'm in school and that's the priority right now, although I still try to update my blog as much as possible because I love this thing.
-I do have cute clothes and I think that I dress cute so who else should care? Um, no one. Plus this is my blog. Ha. And that I should think of the poor children in Africa who have hardly any clothes. I'm lucky.
-I'm getting better and now I'll be more grateful for my health when I get it back.
-My camera is purple. What's better than that? And my pictures don't look half bad I think..
-I should stop that. Bad habits. Hate 'em...ugh.

My Camera Does Weird But Awesome Things Sometimes

See these pictures? Almost no editing involved. I just lowered the exposure a little. Because when I took them, I took off the flash and then did my usual self-timer setting (it takes two shots, one every 10 seconds) and the first shot turned out super cool and bright like the ones above and the second shot would turn out like these pictures below:

Cool huh?! I'm not really sure what my camera was thinking, but I kind of like it for a change. It really highlights the outfit and washes out everything else. Maybe semi-breaking my camera was a good thing? :)

Either way, I thought it was cool. And also I loved this outfit. I love the scarf, and the way the shirt hangs, and the adorable purple boots. Individually they are cute. Together, the are wonderful! I wore it two days ago...yesterday I wore an outfit not cute enough to be blogged about because I was/still am? sick. And I blogged about it. Of course. Anyways, back to homework! Yippee...

Oh and I seriously love braiding my hair after taking a shower and then letting it wave in the morning or after it's dry! I curl a few pieces and it looks soooo cute! And natural. This is a huge achievement for a girl who has hair so straight it tends to stay semi-curly for a few hours and then die. Sad. So this is happy. yes. :)

These Shoes Make My LIFE

Saddle shoes. Two words that just bring joy to my heart and turn the corners of my mouth into a huge smile. When I was little, I loved these shoes. Loved is an understatement, believe me. I wore them all the time and they were my favorite shoes. So of course when mine got too small, I begged my mom to get me more. But though she searched for some, they were out of style, and therefore no saddle shoes for me. :(

And now, as a 19 year-old girl, I saw they came back in style and begged and begged my mom to get me these for Christmas. And voila! she did!!! What an amazing mom. She even ordered them online. And once again, I more than love them. They are comfy and cute and me. They remind me of the 50s, which is one of my favorite eras (see HERE) and they just make me happy, don't ask me why!

So that's the story of my amazing and wonderful saddle shoes. I would say "the end" but this is most definitely not the end of the story. It's just the beginning... :)
