The Day FINALLY Came!

Oh. My. Gosh. I did it! I completed the 30 for 30!!! Can you believe I did it? I'm not even sure I can haha. I wanted to end the 30 for 30 with a bang, but I have had 4 tests and a project to do in two days, so you should be able to understand when I just say I threw these on because they were there and I didn't want to try and match up more 30 for 30 items.\\

So now...let's just do a little recapitulation of the challenge, shall we? Here's a collage of all my outfits (if you want to see all of the post, just click on the 30 for 30 label at the bottom of this post).

Wow, lots of outfits and only 30 items. That is AWESOME! Looking at them all together makes me look proud. To view the items that I chose and the rules and stuff, go to THIS POST.

Top 5 Favorite Outfits:

Bottom 5 Outfits:
  -Woman in Black
  -Well...Hi
  -Cooking With Kiki
  -Picture Pooper
-(I didn't post like two days which I will update someday, but I think one of those is on this list..there's just nothing to link it to.

Most Worn Item(s): I wore my yellow cardigan 5 times, these jeggings 7 times, and these boots 10 times

Least Worn Item(s): These red/purple boots, this denim skirt, this skirt, and this skirt were all worn once each

What I Learned:
-The 30 for 30 is not impossible! If I can do it, you can do it too!

-When you only have 30 items and you lose one (this gray cardigan), it's a big deal. Suddenly you have much less possibilities. After all, 30x30= 900, while 29x30=870. Not huge, but it does matter. I hope this doesn't sound bad at all, but it kind of helped me to realize how people who are poor or who don't have a lot of clothes feel. I love clothes, but they've kind of lost their value to me. If I lose one shirt, it's not a big deal because I have tons more, but when you only have a few shirts and you lose one, it stinks big time.

-I have so many clothes and I am SO blessed. I never realized how many clothes I had until I only had 30. This challenge made me so grateful for the clothes I have and it makes me want to give back. Actually there's a clothing swap on BYU campus this Saturday so I'm going to take as many clothes as I can, because whatever doesn't get swapped will go to a refugee center which I think is great! If you're in the Provo/Utah county area, you should go too! The facebook event page is here for more info.

-I'm glad I have a lot of clothes to make outfits and stuff. Otherwise I think I'd get really lazy like I started to get at the end of this.

-Not shopping (mostly) for 30 days was hard but very healthy. And I saved money. And now I don't feel like I need to go shopping as much because I feel like I have so many clothes and stuff, so I can go shopping in my own closet!

-I love clothes and fashion. I knew that before and this challenge reaffirmed it. I don't know what it is, but I love fashion so much. Remixing is the best thing on the planet. For me anyways. Fashion is my passion. I live it and I LOVE it!

Success!

And I'm done with my tests and skirt! I'm so happy! And guess what?! Only 1 more day of 30 for 30!! That's why I'm showing a 1 in the last picture ha. You can tell I'm excited. I would write more but I'm so tired right now. Last night I fell asleep at my laptop and woke up at some random time in the night apparently and then on yesterday's post I--or someone else?--wrote "goodnight :)" at the end of the post and published it. I have no recollection of that whatsoever. But I fixed it yesterday morning and wrote the whole "an outfit a day.." stuff. Anyways it was pretty funny although I woke up very confused. I'm still confused about it. There's your funny story for the day.

Oh and actually something else that's funny is that I wore my hair down today (I did yesterday too) in it's natural state--straight and down--just because I haven't had a lot of time to do it the past few days due to midterms and projects. But bunch of people noticed my hair and said it looked great. And I realized it's because I hardly ever wear my hair this way! Weird huh? I used to just wear it down like this every day but this year I've gotten into styling it and having fun with my hair. But it's funny because some people don't even know how I "normally" wear my hair. There! I gave you a kind of long post and two great stories. Happy Wednesday!!

March Madness

Don't worry. I'm not depressed. (see this post as proof) I was just experimenting with pictures today and trying to see if I could get anything emotional. I really like the last two pictures.

Can you believe today is the first day of March already?! Personally, I'm very excited for March, mostly because it means warmer weather and it also means the end of 30 for 30 (not that I don't love it, I just kind of hate it too :P haha). I'm so excited to have to wear the same clothes for only two more days!!

Also, I am so excited to wear my next almost finished sewing project for you guys!! (I'll give you a hint...it's red....and awesome :)

These Are Stressful Times

It's during super duper stressful times like these when I'm grateful for this blog because it gives me a chance to get away from studying and go to my creative outlet, which is ten times better than studying. If I had a choice, I would love to just take pictures, write, style clothes, and blog all day. But that isn't really a life because pretty soon I'd die because I'd have no money to take care of myself. Happy, huh? Sorry, I hope I don't sound depressing to any of you. I have 3 tests to take today and one tomorrow and a skirt to finish by Wednesday. AH! You're lucky you got a post. So yes, think of me because when this is posted and you're reading it, chances are, I'll be taking a test. Wish me luck! Thanks so much to all of you who read this blog...I love you guys. :)

It's Playtime!

I took pictures at a playground yesterday! Fun right? Ha, well yes it was. Except it got a little stressful when my camera batteries suddenly died and I didn't have enough pictures. So I drove home super fast, got some more batteries (I know, I'm dumb for not keeping them with me) and rushed back to the park and took a few more pictures in like five minutes before I had to go to work. Which I did make it to on time, thank you very much. :D (sidenote: It was just a little cold taking these pictures. Just a little. That's all)

So that's my story. And now I have to go and study because I have 3 tests to take tomorrow. And as much as I hate studying on Sundays...well it has to happen every once in a while. Sadly.

And can you believe the 30 for 30 is almost OVER?! I can hardly wait! Thursday will be the happiest day of my life. Or one of them. That I can guarantee ;)

Sooooo Close

I am finally updated! I hope that makes you happy, although it makes me even happier than you can imagine. It's a huge burden lifted. :) I am SO excited. Only 4 more days of 30 for 30. The end is very near.

Soooo...notice how I have 89 followers? Holy cow that is just crazy! It makes me really happy because I never thought my blog would have that many followers. It's so exciting. And since we're getting close to 100, I want to do another giveaway at 100 followers! And I'm not really sure what to give away...but if any of you are wanting to maybe sponsor a giveaway for your etsy shop or blog and give away one of your items, I think that would be so fun. You get free advertising and I have a giveaway! It's a win-win for both of us. So for anyone who wants to sponsor a giveaway, email me (kikicbrownee{at}gmail{dot}com) and we'll set something up. And more than one person wants to do this, then I'm sure we can do more than one giveaway. Because who doesn't love free stuff? And if no one emails me....well, then, I'll be kinda sad :( But I'll still do a giveaway because I love you guys that much. Ok, now go send me an email and then have a wonderful Friday. :)

Sweet Like Candy

Before I say anything, I must say this: Go see the Justin Bieber movie. It's true, I've fallen with a bad case of Bieber fever. I've become obsessed with his music and I just want to listen to it all the time! But seriously, the movie is actually really good! It's very inspirational and you just can't come out of that theater not loving Justin Bieber. Okay, I feel better after saying that. I hope at least one of you goes to see it because of me. ;)

I think this red belt was one of the best thrift purchases EVER. It just makes anything look 10 times cuter. When I bought it, it was way too long, so I just cut some of the end off. You can't even tell though so it's great. Red is really just a great color. Men like it best on women too haha...

Guess what?! Sarah from Wearing it On My Sleeves is in my sewing lecture class! Cool, huh? We're pretty much best friends now ;) But really, I think it's so awesome to actually be able to meet one of my blogging friends in real life.

And another "guess what?!" Only 6 days left of 30 for 30! I can't wait. I want my closet back!

I Feel Like a Proud Parent

I really am so happy with the way my pictures have been turning out lately! I think they've been undergoing a huge improvement, which is great. I finally got a tripod after going home this weekend so that's what I used to take these pictures. It's way easier than trying to find something to balance my camera on ha. :P

Guess what...30 for 30 is almost done! And I really just can't wait. It was super fun when it started...and now I understand why it's called a "challenge," because these last few days get to you. I can't wait to be exposed to my whole closet and go shopping again! Because seriously, I feel like I've worn almost every outfit possible with my clothes I picked out. And I think I left one of my items at home when I went so now I only have 29 to wear. And I can't trade it because I've already worn it! I don't think people realize how valuable clothes become once you only have 30, and then you lose one. And I think I just understood the point. Does this mean I can be done now? ;)
