Just An Outfit Post
I've been trying to blog regularly, but honestly, I have no idea what to write today. So I will just leave you with an outfit. One that I loved, because it kind of had a lot going on but worked in a way. I love my men's boots that I got from DI, this belt I got for 99 cents at the byu bookstore, this dress I thrifted almost two years ago, and my jean jacket that I cut the sleeves off of a little while ago. This outfit is totally random but totally me. :)
Have a great Friday... I hope you're jumping for joy that it's the weekend!

Presidents Day Weekend
I spent it all with my family and it was wonderful. On Friday and Saturday I went with my mom, dad, brother Cee Ryle, and sister Gracie to go to a gymnastics meet Cee Ryle had down there! The drive was kind of long, but I honestly kind of love long drives because they mean relaxation. We listened to music, I talked to my mom while my dad got a chance to sleep, and I read. We stopped in Cedar City at this gas station called "Love's" that also had a Subway and Carl's Jr. inside. I sat at a table with Gracie while my parents ordered the food. We had fun taking lots of "funny face" pictures together. :)
Yeah..we're a little crazy haha. After dinner we continued onto St. George where we stayed in the house of some nice friends of ours and watched tv and ate ice cream! Yum :) We packed up in the morning and then took off for the meet!
In case you don't know how gymnastics meets are run (at least the boys ones), because I definitely didn't know before my brother did this, this is how it is:
There are a certain number of teams at the meet, usually about 5-6. It depends. There are different levels ranging from 4-9 (my brother's on level 5) and sometimes the meet is just one level or sometimes they'll combine levels, like have levels 4 and 5 in the same meet. In this case, the meet was small so it was combine with levels 4-9. For the medal awarding though, they divide it up by age group and levels so that it's fair. Then the boys go with their team and rotate doing each event. So usually there are multiple people competing at one time. There are 4 events: floor, pommel horse, parallel bars, and rings. The highest score you can get is a 15, but then you can actually get more points than that if you do something more difficult or not required for the level because it's harder. They award medals for each event and then also award them for the All-Around of course. They get your All-Around score but adding up each of your scores from the events. Haha if you're confused, it's totally understandable because it's Cee Ryle's second year doing gymnastics meets and this still gets me.
Anyways, the meet was kind of long, about three and a half hours of sitting on a hard bench. Needless to say, we had lots of snacks, Gracie colored a lot, and I progressed much further on the Harry Potter lego game on my ipod touch haha (don't worry, I watched Cee Ryle during his turn on the events!). It was CR's best meet but he still did pretty well. He got 2nd place on parallel bars (missing 1st by only a tenth of a point) and 7th on rings (I think), so he got medals for both of those. I'm so proud of him because he works so hard training three times a week and still has a lot of other stuff he does during the week. Go Cee Ryle!
We started the 5-hour drive back home after the meet. We got some linner (lunch/dinner) and headed back. I wrote a letter to my friend Jessica on her mission and then practiced spelling words with Cee Ryle, who won his school spelling bee (for the third time in his life)! Told you the kid's awesome :) Oh and we stopped at Love's on our way back and decided it's our new official stopping place whenever we go to southern Utah haha.
Sunday was spent going to church and then celebrating my grandpa's birthday! It was fun to get together with all our extended family..they are crazy and I love them!
I started feeling sick on Sunday but really got a load of it when I woke up on Monday morning. I cannot seem to stay away from colds :( I slept in until about 10 AM and then just spent the day relaxing with my family and doing whatever. I love having days off of school! Then that night I went back to Provo with one of my roommates and the happiness of school began again. haha :)

P.S. I Love My Coral Blazer
I love this outfit! The blazer just makes it and I especially love the touch that the ballerina necklace (above) gives it. Plus I love the oxfords, the bag, the color scheme. And the blazer. Did you know I really love my coral blazer? Just so you know..I love my blazer :)
Wow, I look so happy in these pictures! I love it! I just love how happy I am these days because it's wonderful and it shows. A year ago was a different story...but I'm happy now!! Soooo happy!
One thing that makes me happy is that my birthday is tomorrow! What?! I'm gonna be 20 and it's still freaking me out. At least I have a year to get used to it, right? I got to go home for the weekend to watch General Conference and celebrate my birthday with my family! It was so fun. Saturday we watched conference and I also played with chalk with my sibs, Gracie and Cee Ryle. Oh and during conference they announced that they were going to rebuild Provo Tabernacle into another Provo temple! It was awesome news! Then in between conference sessions we went to the Cheesecake Factory, which was super delish. We'd never been there before but were definitely satisfied! And yes, they sang to me. ;) That night while my dad and brother were at priesthood session, all of us girls went thrifting with my aunt, grandma, and cousins, which was pretty fun. I got some good stuff including a purple blazer, a men's shirt in a pretty mustard yellow color (I'm gonna refashion it into something like this, this, or this), a skinny gray belt, some white Keds, and the book Deception Point by Dan Brown.
On Sunday we watched General Conference again and celebrated my birthday! My relatives came over and we had cake and ice cream and opened presents. Gracie and I picked raspberries from our raspberry bush too. :) Man I love that little girl soooo much! Oooh, but guess what I got? A new camera! EEEE! It's actually my dad's old one (not that it's old) that I use every time I go home and my parents gave it to me, so I'm pretty ecstatic! Its a Fujifilm Finepix S7000 and I can't wait to take lots of fun pictures with it!

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and I wouldn't have wanted it spent any other way! My family made me feel so loved for my birthday, and honestly, that's all that I really want for my birthday--to be loved! (although I'm definitely not complaining about the camera..haha) As for my real birthday tomorrow, I truly have no idea what I'm doing besides the usual school stuff! Hopefully something lots of fun. Of course I do have two papers due and a test to take this week so who knows. ;)
Oh and this is random but does anyone have any ideas of what 5 girls can be for Halloween? We're trying to figure out a costume for our department at work and I would gladly take any ideas! Thanks!
P.S. I love my blazer!! haha, I had to ;)

This Dress=Pure Happiness :D
So this is the dress! I am oh so proud of it...its my little baby or something hehe. I designed it and sewed it all by myself..even without a pattern! I am so impressed that it even turned out ha. But now that it did, I'm afraid I might wear it every chance I get! And that's ok. :)
Do you guys have something that you're just really proud of because it came from your talent? Like maybe a great work of art, or a dance you choreographed, or even like a cool hair do or lego sculpture. haha. Well, this dress is that for me. I feel SO proud. And it makes me so happy!!! Plus I got a lot of compliments on it which made me feel good because I was getting complimented on something that I made.
It's just a really happy dress and I'm so happy it turned out cute. You could say you hate it and I wouldn't care (well, I would a little bit probably) because I love it that much.
P.S. It has pockets.
P.P.S. I had the most wonderful weekend! It was a long one at home and I spent it all with my family. I saw both of my sisters' ballet recitals and they both did such a great job! It made me miss ballet a lot so I decided I'm going to dance again because I love it. We went out and took a bunch of cool pictures of ballet stuff and my brother does gymnastics so he did some cool things too. I will share soon..maybe tomorrow?
k bye :

A Fabulous and Happy Weekend
I had such a wonderful weekend! Seriously friends, it was pretty great. Friday I went to the Mindy Gledhill and Meaghan Smith concert which was sooo good! I already loved Mindy Gledhill before, but now I love her even more! And Meaghan Smith? Holy canoli. She is dang good. And super amazing. She won a Juno award in Canada which is like the same as an Emmy here. I really loved her and hope to go to one of her concerts again soon!
Saturday I worked from 7 am to 3! And that might sound awful, but it totally wasn't at all. All the bookstore employees (and there's a lot of us) were required to work on Saturday for the Utah Festival of Books, because we were hosting it for the first time. I went early to help with displays and set up and then I did face painting the rest of the time, which was also pretty fun. I just love festivals SO MUCH. Don't ask me why, maybe it's all the people, or the happiness of it, or just how everyone is having fun, but I love them. Anyways though, after I got off at 3 my family was there so I hung out with them which was just great. The festival was so huge and so fun, and I think it's going to become an annual thing, so already I can't wait for next year! Oh ya and David Archuleta came and I got a picture of him. hehe
Saturday night I was exhausted and took a 3 hour nap that was only supposed to be an hour long (whoops, guess I was tired?) and then went and saw the Adjustment Bureau with some friends in my ward. I've seen it before but it's a pretty good movie and honestly I just love the love story in it. I'm such a girl. ;)
Yesterday was like the best Sunday ever! Church was really great, although that morning I was feeling kind of sick from allergies and stuff so I took a nap when I got home. I woke up from my nap two hours later and went to a Relief Society ice cream social. Then we came home and both my roommates fell asleep so I made some funeral potatoes and platanos (fried plantaines--a Guatemalan food that's sooo yummy) for us to eat for dinner. Then we stalked people on facebook and watched youtube videos and then went to ward prayer. After ward prayer we went to another ice cream party and then came back and watched Despicable Me with homemade popcorn that I made. And all day I was in such a good mood. I was just really happy and outgoing and kind of crazy but it was funny. It was seriously one of the happiest days ever. Yay!
And now it's Monday. Kind of a downer, but I'll make the best of it. We have FHE tonight which will be fun because they're providing dinner. Sweet.
Also, shoutout to my brother Cee Ryle! His birthday is today and he's turning 12! So cool! I just want to say that I love him sooooooo much--more than he knows--and he is my favorite brother in the whole wide world (okay..he's my only brother haha). I hope he has a wonderful birthday..and lucky him, his last day of school was on Friday so his first day of summer is also his birthday! Love you Buddy!! :)
