Update

Grr..I'm so MAD my other camera broke! My dad is trying to fix it (he's wonderful and can seriously fix anything so I hope this camera doesn't break his record!) so I hope it works out. If he can't fix it though, then I will most likely buy a new one. These pictures are terrible not necessarily because they were taken with my point shoot, but more on account of the fact that it was at night, I had to use the flash, it was too dark and late to find any other good place to shoot, etc. So I'm sorry.

Also, I'm sorry I've been MIA. School is stressing me out! Only two more days of classes, then its finals, and then I'm done with Fall semester! Hallelujah!!! It has been a great semester and I love my classes, but the stress is getting to me. It always does...one of the reasons I haven't been blogging. When I get really stressed, I always get super sick and really nauseous. It's really awful and I dislike it very much. So you'll understand why I want the semester to be done and why blogging time has been turning to homework time instead? :)

I'm feeling super sick as I write this, so I'm gonna go. I feel bad saying this, but please keep me in your prayers, you have no idea how much I need it. I will be blogging more regularly probably next week so just stay with me, you guys are the best! I promise better pictures and happier posts and more stories of what I've done while I've been gone with my return....maybe even a giveaway..? (oooh!)

Grieving

I'm just kind of sad right now and looking at these pictures makes me sad. I took them in the mirror because I was in my pajamas and totally forgot I hadn't taken pictures of this outfit. Usually I'll just go to bed, but I really loved the outfit so I put it back on and took some quick photos in the mirror...with my wonderful camera. I love my new camera, and guess what.

It broke.

It fell while I was taking outfit pictures (even though I was trying so so hard to make sure it was stable) and now it can't zoom or focus on anything, so when you look through the viewfinder it looks like a big blurry mess.

I'm SO sad. I couldn't blog yesterday because I was just sad and it still makes me wanna cry just writing this. I'm hoping it will get fixed but otherwise somehow I'll get another one (the same kind of camera). I seriously just feel like I lost my best friend and my most prized possession. I didn't know we could have feelings for such items as a camera, but it's how I feel.

So I'm sorry for crappy outfit photos (although I have to be honest that I do love mirror pictures) and I'm sorry for not blogging yesterday. But mostly I'm just really sad and sorry that my best friend is currently broken. :(

P.S. I Love My Coral Blazer

I love this outfit! The blazer just makes it and I especially love the touch that the ballerina necklace (above) gives it. Plus I love the oxfords, the bag, the color scheme. And the blazer. Did you know I really love my coral blazer? Just so you know..I love my blazer :)

Wow, I look so happy in these pictures! I love it! I just love how happy I am these days because it's wonderful and it shows. A year ago was a different story...but I'm happy now!! Soooo happy!

One thing that makes me happy is that my birthday is tomorrow! What?! I'm gonna be 20 and it's still freaking me out. At least I have a year to get used to it, right? I got to go home for the weekend to watch General Conference and celebrate my birthday with my family! It was so fun. Saturday we watched conference and I also played with chalk with my sibs, Gracie and Cee Ryle. Oh and during conference they announced that they were going to rebuild Provo Tabernacle into another Provo temple! It was awesome news! Then in between conference sessions we went to the Cheesecake Factory, which was super delish. We'd never been there before but were definitely satisfied! And yes, they sang to me. ;) That night while my dad and brother were at priesthood session, all of us girls went thrifting with my aunt, grandma, and cousins, which was pretty fun. I got some good stuff including a purple blazer, a men's shirt in a pretty mustard yellow color (I'm gonna refashion it into something like this, this, or this), a skinny gray belt, some white Keds, and the book Deception Point by Dan Brown.

On Sunday we watched General Conference again and celebrated my birthday! My relatives came over and we had cake and ice cream and opened presents. Gracie and I picked raspberries from our raspberry bush too. :) Man I love that little girl soooo much! Oooh, but guess what I got? A new camera! EEEE! It's actually my dad's old one (not that it's old) that I use every time I go home and my parents gave it to me, so I'm pretty ecstatic! Its a Fujifilm Finepix S7000 and I can't wait to take lots of fun pictures with it!

All in all, it was a wonderful weekend and I wouldn't have wanted it spent any other way! My family made me feel so loved for my birthday, and honestly, that's all that I really want for my birthday--to be loved! (although I'm definitely not complaining about the camera..haha) As for my real birthday tomorrow, I truly have no idea what I'm doing besides the usual school stuff! Hopefully something lots of fun. Of course I do have two papers due and a test to take this week so who knows. ;)

Oh and this is random but does anyone have any ideas of what 5 girls can be for Halloween? We're trying to figure out a costume for our department at work and I would gladly take any ideas! Thanks!

A Blast to the Past

Ok story time: So yesterday when I was taking my daily outfit pictures outside, my camera lost it's balance and fell off the little wall it was sitting on and crashed to the cement! My camera and I were both crushed. The front silver part of my camera had come off and the little screen part that comes out when you turn it on went crooked so it wouldn't close in, therefore also making it so my camera wouldn't turn on or off. I'm going to admit, that when I saw my camera, I went to my room and just bawled. No working camera meant no picture taking, which meant no outfit blog!! And any of my close friends know how much this blog means to me and how much I enjoy doing it. So I called my mom for sympathy and she decided to come up with ideas for me to do my blog until I could get another camera. Luckily, I have an amazing roommate named Jenna who somehow fixed my camera. The front part is still off but my camera now works and turns on and off. I am forever indebted to Jenna!! :) But my mom still had a great idea that I decided to anyways. She scanned and sent me some pictures of me as a little girl in old outfits and said I could post those and talk about them until I could take pictures. But I decided to kind of try and recreate the outfit (and the pose) for today!

So as you can see above, I kind of tried to recreate the outfit. Too bad I don't have the same clothes in a bigger size now! Because I actually really like the clothes I'm wearing in my 2 year picture haha. I tried to copy the green color and just make my outfit colorful like the one in the picture. I'm going to try and do this every once in a while and recreate some outfits that I wore when I was little. Maybe I'll even go through my mom's old college pictures and recreate some of her old 90s outfits!! :)

I Am Glad For Many Things...

Happy thanksgiving everyone! Sorry it's been a little while since I posted. But yay, thanksgiving! This means Christmas music can be played officially, Black Friday is tomorrow, and there was much food today! Here are 10 things I'm thankful for:

1. The fact that I'm going to BYU, the college I've wanted to go to my whole life.

2. My family and how I get to spend time with them during this break

3. That I have a good job in this economy

4. The little bit of snow that is outside
