Random Thoughts

- I have been reading like crazy this summer. A little while ago I discovered an amazing app on my ipod touch called iBooks and then I discovered an even better website where I've downloaded all my favorite books. So now wherever I go, my ipod goes, and I find myself reading everywhere. It's pretty much the best. I have 70 books on there and they only take up 0.1 GB, so it's awesome! Whenever I finish a book, there is another right there waiting for me. Maybe one of these days I'll write a book post to share what I've been reading. Also, it's time for me to start reading Harry Potter again...round number 12... ha ;)

- I saw this on pinterest and now I really want to do it. This is an amazingly cute idea to used Christmas lights year-round!

- Lately, I've been missing ballet. Like, a ton. I've been dancing around the house more than usual (my uncle laughs because every once in a while I'll just be standing there talking and then do a grand battement--basically a kick--out of nowhere. It's just so natural to me!) and I've been watching tv shows about dance, namely Dance Academy (netflix) and Bunheads (new show on ABC Family). So I decided I'm going to take a ballet class in the fall! I haven't taken one for about two years, but I'm totally ready and excited for this. It's only 3 days a week which is good, I did a class that was every day freshman year and it was too much. I'm not an amazing dancer by any means, but I'm ready to jump back into it. I'm only at school for another year, so might as well take advantage of the classes offered.

- Only two more weeks in Boston. I'm not really sure how I'm reacting to this yet. It's sad, but I am excited to see my family and friends again. I literally cannot believe how fast the summer flew by. But it's been a good summer, so far. I've really been cherishing it and having a blast here. I love the east coast.

I guess that's all for now. Nothing else is popping into my head and I better get some sleep so I can wake up for church in the morning. That's another thing, I've been sleeping in SO much! Guess I still haven't fixed my habits of reading late into the night...haha oh well, gotta go!

Sometimes...

....I get in really weird moods where I just start blabbering on about stuff I probably shouldn't be talking about. It's really funny for the people around me because I just keep going and then realize I sound ridiculous.

Take today for instance: I was in the hot-tub with some friends and we were talking about relationships and I just started going on about boys and how I want a boyfriend and blah blah. I wish I were a better explainer at how these things go on. These moods tend to happen around once a month and always around boys. Once I told a boy, "Okay, you can kiss me!" It's been a laugh ever since.

Anyways, I'm really tired right now and falling asleep in my bed (even though it's covered with a lot of stuff. I know I promised another Hunger Games party post today but I'm afraid I'll just fall asleep at the computer trying to write it. Therefore...it will have to wait until hopefully tomorrow. I'm terribly sorry my friends, but I do need my sleep.

So yeah, I'm going to bed. With my koala bear Kuddles cuz I'm cool like that. Night peeps. :)
Also, when I was randomly writing stuff at the beginning of this post. It's the aftermath of my crazy talkative mood. Lucky you got a taste. Or I'm just tired.

Sleeping...Sleeping...ZZZZZ

White tee: DownEast Basics; Yellow Tank: JC Penney; Necklace/Belt/Watch: F21; Skirt: Grocery Store (believe it or not!); Shoes: BYU Bookstore
Hmmm I'm tired. I have a story to tell but I think I'll save it for tomorrow because I just don't feel like writing it all right now. So stay tuned. :)

You will all be reading this in the morning but technically I'm writing it at night. And for the most part, I feel like I am a night person but I think I have been becoming a little more of a morning person every day considering I have work early in the morning. It's definitely good for me, but it also means that at night, when before I used to be wide awake and able to do stuff, now I find myself falling asleep at my computer or letting my fingers do things like this:
dddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddddd
(Yes, that did happen as I started drowsing off while writing this post)

Oh I'm a funny sleeper. At night right before I get to bed I just get all woozy and then while I sleep, I often sleep talk--every roommate I've ever had has found me multiple times talking in my sleep and I've also woken myself up doing it too. And then when I wake up in the morning, I lumber around like a gorilla and don't talk to anyone and don't think much either. It's pretty attractive. My poor future husband (if there ever is one..I've probably just ruined my chances with every boy telling these secrets haha).

What crazy/silly sleep habits do you have? I really would love to hear it. I'm always up for a good laugh!

Now then..I'll just go............to.......... zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz. ;) Good night. (except really good morning because that's when you're reading this ha)

A Magic Cure

I think sleep really does cure a lot of things. Or make things better. So after I wrote that post earlier, I was kind of just feeling weird and like crap (not a ton, just confused, idk it's a strange feeling to describe) and I didn't know what to do so I went to sleep planning on waking up an hour later.

I slept for THREE HOURS! Not exactly sure how that happened because I had an alarm set and everything but apparently I slept through it and subconsciously just turned it off. I don't even remember.

The funniest part about this all is that I woke up completely confused. It was dark outside and raining and the time was like 8:20 PM. I couldn't even remember that I was sleeping and I was just really confused. Then I slowly remembered I had taken a nap and that I must have just slept longer that I thought.

I'm not really sure why I'm talking about this but I guess one thing I learned from this experience is that our bodies really do know how to take care of us, and they will. I only got like 6 hours of sleep last night and for the past few nights it's only been like 5-6 hours of sleep. I probably would have woken up to my alarm if I hadn't needed that sleep. But my body completely took over and I slept for how long I needed to. And honestly? I feel super great. I woke up feeling so much better than when I had gone to sleep and I felt refreshed (even though it was dark outside and kind of late).

So sometimes, when you're feeling like crap or just feeling weird inside and you don't know why? Just sleep. Your body probably needed it and that might be the reason you're feeling the way you're feeling. Every time I take a nap or just go to sleep I feel way better when I wake up. Sleep is just a great escape and way to start over.

Sleep is a wonderful thing. So are our bodies. :)
