Random Thoughts

- I have been reading like crazy this summer. A little while ago I discovered an amazing app on my ipod touch called iBooks and then I discovered an even better website where I've downloaded all my favorite books. So now wherever I go, my ipod goes, and I find myself reading everywhere. It's pretty much the best. I have 70 books on there and they only take up 0.1 GB, so it's awesome! Whenever I finish a book, there is another right there waiting for me. Maybe one of these days I'll write a book post to share what I've been reading. Also, it's time for me to start reading Harry Potter again...round number 12... ha ;)

- I saw this on pinterest and now I really want to do it. This is an amazingly cute idea to used Christmas lights year-round!


- Lately, I've been missing ballet. Like, a ton. I've been dancing around the house more than usual (my uncle laughs because every once in a while I'll just be standing there talking and then do a grand battement--basically a kick--out of nowhere. It's just so natural to me!) and I've been watching tv shows about dance, namely Dance Academy (netflix) and Bunheads (new show on ABC Family). So I decided I'm going to take a ballet class in the fall! I haven't taken one for about two years, but I'm totally ready and excited for this. It's only 3 days a week which is good, I did a class that was every day freshman year and it was too much. I'm not an amazing dancer by any means, but I'm ready to jump back into it. I'm only at school for another year, so might as well take advantage of the classes offered.

- Only two more weeks in Boston. I'm not really sure how I'm reacting to this yet. It's sad, but I am excited to see my family and friends again. I literally cannot believe how fast the summer flew by. But it's been a good summer, so far. I've really been cherishing it and having a blast here. I love the east coast.

I guess that's all for now. Nothing else is popping into my head and I better get some sleep so I can wake up for church in the morning. That's another thing, I've been sleeping in SO much! Guess I still haven't fixed my habits of reading late into the night...haha oh well, gotta go!

Lots of Thoughts

Before I say anything, can I first say that I absolutely love my blog header and layout and everything? Cuz I do. I  don't think I've really ever been completely satisfied but this layout will probably stay the same for a while. I keep typing in my blog address just because I like looking at everything! Haha I'm glad it makes me happy. :D

Random happenings...
Yesterday we celebrated my roommate Kelsey's 20th birthday! We got up early and made her breakfast and then sneakily made a cake and threw a surprise party! Boo ya! It was lots and lots of fun :)

I made my new favorite skirt from an old DI dress! I really just adore this skirt and it's perfect because I could make it the right length. GAH it's so cute and I'm so proud of it! I love knowing how to sew.

I loved the latest (and last one for a while) Glee episode! Spoilers...if you haven't seen it and are going to and don't want to know what happens then DON'T READ. You've been warned ;) They did original songs that were incredible and I love them and guess what?! The New Directions Glee Club finally won! They're going to nationals!!! Yay! We all knew it had to happen at some point so I'm glad it did. I love it whenever they beat Sue at something. Good > Evil.....always.

I miss this girl... :( But I get to see her and some of my fam on Saturday! YAY!

I'm so mad at myself because I haven't been giving myself time to play the piano so I haven't gone in a while. :( I think I'll probably go today.

I'm still so happy I survived getting my blood drawn! Except guess what stinks. I have to go back in 6 months just for them to make sure everything's okay. Which means...another blood draw. :( My face probably went so pale when the lady said that on the phone. But I think I'll be more ready this time. And I have 6 months to prepare myself!

(sorry, no blood drawing pictures. Otherwise I'll just pass out every time I look at my blog :P)

I love working at the bookstore. Just thought I'd make that known in case someone forgot. But I'm trying to find a second job for the summer...hopefully somewhere cool and where I can get a sweet discount..Forever 21? Or something like that? Yes.

Moving to a different apartment this semester was one of the best decisions I ever made. I have the BEST roommates. Seriously. None can compare. They are the nicest and funnest girls ever and I love living with them. I just feel so loved here, which is exactly what I need. I'm so excited to live with them for another whole year!

School ends in like a month! And then it's....SUMMER!!!! I can't wait!!

Huntington beach...ahhh :) I love that place.

Well, that's all. I'm glad I decided to nix the 30 day challenge because now I can blog freely! It's so much nicer, honestly. Anyways, have a happy Wednesday! Only two more days and it's Friday! :)

Random thoughts by me

1. If you haven't seen it yet (especially the girls) watch Letters to Juliet. I just saw it on Wednesday and now I can't wait for it to come out on DVD so I can buy it. Cutest chick flick ever! I have to admit that I cried when I saw it. Really though, take my word for it and go see this perfect love story of a movie.

Other movies I've seen recently or would recommend: The Last Song, The Blind Side, The Sorcerer's Apprentice. I'm dying to see Toy Story 3 but I haven't had a chance yet! :(

2. Only 22 days until I move back to school. 3 WEEKS!! This change will be bittersweet, though I have to admit it'll be mostly sweet, just because I can't wait to go back. I'm excited for:

-Dance parties

-Complete freedom

-Lots of English classes

-BOYS

-Guitar class and Jazz class

-A brand new school year to start fresh

-Living with super fun girls (and maybe random roommates who I'll know nothing about)

I'm sad to leave:

-My family (especially Gracie who is, although only 3 years old, definitely my best friend)

-My absolutely wonderful fun day care job (THE BEST JOB I'VE EVER HAD)

-Friends who won't be at BYU with me

-Good cooking by my mom

-Getting together with relatives all the time

-Vacations

-Relaxation (from homework and stress)

-My own room

It seriously doesn't feel like that long ago at all when I was moving away to school (a much more scary experience then). That year just zipped by I guess. Like everyone says, "time flies when you're having fun." It true.

3. I want/need another Carrie Underwood concert to come! Ya, so what if the last one wasn't even a month ago?! I'm obsessed, give me a break. ;)

4. I'm going on a road trip this weekend that hasn't really been planned too much and nine girls are coming. I can't wait. :)

5. I love Sundays. And church. We had such a great lesson today in Relief Society and it was just what I needed to hear. :)

Other June Activities

Just some other random things I did in June:

My friend Josh Timothy had his farewell! I've known him for such a long time, so it was sad to see him go (he's in Lima, Peru by the way), but he'll be an awesome missionary!

The arts festival. I went with Courtney and Laura. All the artwork and stuff was way cool. But of course the highlight of the night was not the festival... The last thing we did at the festival was go see the films, which was like at 10:00 at night. By 11:00, we were still in the theater and there were like three films to go. We had come on the frontrunner so we kind of lost track of time. We needed to get back on the trax but got on going the wrong way. So then, we went back and waited for like 45 minutes for the right trax to come and it never did. So we just started walking towards the frontrunner. Along the way, we came across some Asians with ramen noodles, a guy who worked at the arts festival, a druggie named Trevor, and some college aged kids trying to break in some old building. It was quite the eventful night. When we decided we had probably missed the frontrunner, Courtney called her parents so her dad would come pick us up. In the end, we got home at about 1 in the morning. It was great! :D And this was the only picture we took the whole day.

Reading books. My goal was to read 80 books by the end of the summer. No such luck, because I think it will end up being about 45-50. I'm a failure (to me anyways).

Disney did this cool Christmas Carol tour thing where they're going to all the states to advertise their new Christmas Carol movie. We stood in line for a loooong time because there were a billion people there, of course. It was lots of fun though!

Father's Day. Me and my sisters playing a musical number (O My Father) that we played in church the next week. I played piano, Carina did the violin, and Sidney did the flute. It was pretty much amazing! ;)
