Guess What?!

Remember that one time when I sprained my wrist? :(

Well...it's healed! Mostly. I took off the wrap on Thursday and my wrist feels almost completely better. It still hurts a little if I bend it too far back or if I do something weird with it, but for the most part it's doing great. Hallelujah! I kept forgetting to mention it in a post, but I guess since I've never had a sprain or a broken bone or anything this deserved it's own post. :)

In the Library Like Every Other College Student in the World

I'm just on one of the library computers right now and of course what else would I decide to do but blog? Right now...

...it's snowing outside, but its not cold (I'm wearing capris, a light sweater, and sandals) and the skies are blue...Utah weather is so strange.

...it's Tuesday, which means only 3 days left to Friday!

...i'm waiting to go to class in twenty minutes.

...i'm hungry.

...I am wearing some heels and loving them. The click-click I hear every time I walk just makes me so happy inside. I feel so classy! (Except I probably look a little klutzy when I fall or let my heel slip multiple times throughout the day :P)

...I have a bruise on my right shoulder that has gone from just a pink dot, to being a faint blue, and now a gross yellow. Cool. I love bruises. Let's be honest here. I got it after accidentally whamming my shoulder into one of those little pole things that socks hang on in stores. Definitely switched up things in the bookstore after that incident, because as cool as bruises are, let's be honest again and say THEY HURT.

...I should be studying for a test I have tomorrow morning. Oh well, that's what no sleep is for, right?

...my hair is curled. I love it when my hair is curled.

...I just realized I'm going to a wedding reception on Thursday and I have no gift. GAH! Also I have no money. Problem...any solutions?

...I'm missing my family.

...I'm getting a little bored of this post and thinking of things to say so I'm gonna go....BYE!! :D

A Magic Cure

I think sleep really does cure a lot of things. Or make things better. So after I wrote that post earlier, I was kind of just feeling weird and like crap (not a ton, just confused, idk it's a strange feeling to describe) and I didn't know what to do so I went to sleep planning on waking up an hour later.

I slept for THREE HOURS! Not exactly sure how that happened because I had an alarm set and everything but apparently I slept through it and subconsciously just turned it off. I don't even remember.

The funniest part about this all is that I woke up completely confused. It was dark outside and raining and the time was like 8:20 PM. I couldn't even remember that I was sleeping and I was just really confused. Then I slowly remembered I had taken a nap and that I must have just slept longer that I thought.

I'm not really sure why I'm talking about this but I guess one thing I learned from this experience is that our bodies really do know how to take care of us, and they will. I only got like 6 hours of sleep last night and for the past few nights it's only been like 5-6 hours of sleep. I probably would have woken up to my alarm if I hadn't needed that sleep. But my body completely took over and I slept for how long I needed to. And honestly? I feel super great. I woke up feeling so much better than when I had gone to sleep and I felt refreshed (even though it was dark outside and kind of late).

So sometimes, when you're feeling like crap or just feeling weird inside and you don't know why? Just sleep. Your body probably needed it and that might be the reason you're feeling the way you're feeling. Every time I take a nap or just go to sleep I feel way better when I wake up. Sleep is just a great escape and way to start over.

Sleep is a wonderful thing. So are our bodies. :)

Trying to Stay Sane and Happy

I would probably be so incredibly miserable here at BYU if it weren't for these things that keep me happy...

~Blogging about my outfits (always gives me something to look forward to and be happy about every day)

~Watching Project Runway

~Glee!!!! (which started last night!)

~My wonderful mom who lets me call her on the phone like 3 times a day :)

~Dancing and stretching every day (though I pulled a muscle and got a killer bruise from it, and still have a kind of sprained ankle)

~My Koala bear, Kuddles ;)

~Carrie Underwood music

~My scriptures and praying and church stuff

~My great English classes and awesome jazz dance class

~GREAT friends such as: Laura, Leesa, Christine, Kelly, Chelsey, Hollie, Megan, Jenna, Emily, Sam, and anyone else who has been an absolutely wonderful friend to me since I've moved back here to BYU. I seriously love you guys and don't know what I'd do without you. :)

~Last but not least, my wonderful, amazing, spectacular, loving family who I miss so much every single day and can't wait to see again in 9 days (yep, I'm counting)!!

In other happy news, last night we celebrated Kelly's (one of my roomies from last year) 2oth birthday! It was super fun. We went to Chelsey's apartment to watch Glee and afterward, Hollie came, and we ate cupcakes (made by me), brownies (made by Chels), and ice cream, as well as opening presents to celebrate. I love and miss my last year roommates SO much so I'm glad we can still hang out together lots. I am totally myself around them, which is great. :)

Oh ya, and that bruise, I mentioned earlier..I took pictures. It's HUGE. I tore a muscle or something. Careful though, my mom almost passed out looking at this photo. Personally, I think it's kina cool...whatev though.. :)

P.S. Some people in this world are really really DUMB and MEAN. Pretty much that's all I have to say. Have a wonderful week!! :)

Sleep Deprived with a Sprained Ankle

So ya, it's like 3 am right now. :/ But I can't fall asleep. So here's the story:

Today I was walking home from class when I slipped on some stairs (you know how some stairs have like the metal edge on the corners? that's what I slipped on) and sprained my ankle or something, because I immediately felt immense pain. So I just hurried and walked home (I was already way embarrassed about slipping because there had been other people around that saw) limping the whole way. Well my ankle felt a tiny bit better when I got home, but I walked into my room and I felt something twist/pull/tear in my ankle and it hurt A TON. And it's been feeling worse ever since.

I couldn't work on my homework after that because the pain was very distracting so I ended up going to bed at like 10:30 pm, hoping to just wake up to my ankle feeling better. Nope.

I woke up at 2:20 am because my foot was uncomfortable and was hurting and now I cannot go back to sleep. I'm super tired but I have never been in more physical pain in my entire life. :( This hurts so bad, and I've been crying since I woke up because the pain is so hard to handle. My ankle is all swollen and bruised too. And all this brings me to this point in time, where I'm now sitting in a semi-ok position that doesn't hurt my ankle as bad (it still kills though) and am writing in my blog.

Thankfully. my wonderful roommate Dani happened to have a boot from when she sprained her ankle before, and my ankle feels 100 times better when I wear it, actually making my ankle walkable. So thank goodness for that, otherwise I'd probably have to stay home from classes because it hurts SO BAD to walk.

So that's my completely pointless post for everyone. Mostly I'm just writing this because I'm super bored and needed to tell this story to "someone." And everyone is usually asleep at this time, so my blog wins the award. ;)

Ok, and I just read through this and I don't want to sound like a complainer so I'm gonna write 3 things I'm grateful for. I'm grateful for: healthy feet that can do anything (like dance), sleep, and this laptop. K good night. :)
