I wore this outfit a while ago and it's a pretty simple one..which brings me to another reason for why I didn't blog for a month. It sounds weird, but I kind of needed a break from trying to dress cute every day. Don't get me wrong, I still dressed very cute, but I didn't let myself care nearly as much. And summer's hard because it can get SO hot outside and who wants to try and dress fashionably when its so much easier to wear a t-shirt and shorts? Sometimes Utah just kills me!

On another completely random note, I seriously have such a problem biting my nails. It took me 19 years to admit it..but its true. :( Ok, well in truth I've always known I've had this problem but my nails are so gross sometimes! It really isn't always awful but lately I have to keep putting a band-aid on my right hang index finger because its way too short and yet I keep trying to bite it and it hurts. Putting a band-aid on is the only thing to stop me! Any advice so that I can at least minimize nail biting without band-aids on all of my fingers. Goodness gracious that would be awful. Worse than short, gross nails! Unfortunately, nail polish doesn't work and even if I put it on, I think my nails would just look worse. Do me a favor and next time you see me just don't look at my nails? hehe thanks. Now we know the real reason there are no close ups in these pictures.

Oh and hey, guess what? It's FRIDAY! Do a little dance, sing this song, and have a wonderful day and weekend! You deserve it! What are your weekend plans? I'm going home tonight to go to my aunt's wedding in Idaho tomorrow and then finally going to my Provo ward on Sunday! About time, considering I haven't been there for like 3 weeks. Oops..inactive anyone? (just kidding! promise!)

One more thing..this hairstyle has saved my life. Pull it up high into a messy bun after a day with curly hair. Messy, but cute! (and quick!)

About Time Huh?

Hi bloggy friends. I'm back! Miss me? Let me explain my absence. I just stopped blogging for a few days...then I needed to read the whole Harry Potter book series before the movie came out, which was kind of hard because I had work, things to do, and people to see, so I was crunched for time. And then I went to Wyoming (and saw the HP movie in Wyoming and thought it was AH-mazing..anyone else agree? I MUST see it again!) for a week for a family reunion and to celebrate my grandparents' 50th anniversary. And then I got back and have been face painting with my aunt a lot and by that time I decided that I might as well wait until the month mark to blog again. Ha. Silly, I know. But it's July 27, and the last time I blogged was June 27, so I figured it sounds right. :) Anyways. I'm back in blogging business. Here's a few photos that don't even make up for the past month I've been gone...

Life has been crazy. And oh so very fun :D

There is something else I should discuss. I think lately why I've had a lot of periods where I just don't blog is because I've really been trying to please other people with this blog and get lots of followers and stuff. The blogging world can be SO competitive and sometimes it really gets to you when someone else has more comments or followers than you and you don't understand why. It sounds kind of silly but its true. But I need to make this blog for me. That's how it began and that's how I want it to continue.
So thank you thank you THANK YOU to all who entered the contest but I'm unfortunately calling it off just because it was really stressing me out and its not what I need to do for myself right now. I really am SO sorry! And you have no idea how grateful I am to the people that entered. I think I might do it again soon, because its a fun idea, but maybe when I'm a little more stable with myself.

Either way though, I'm so happy to be back! I want this blog to stay a part of my life because its fun and I like it. It makes me happy. And that's all that matters. :D

P.S. Last night I watched my first ever scary movie, What Lies Beneath...all I can say is that scary movies are NOT for me. It might have been my first and last!

5 Days

I have been a not very good blogger lately, on either of my blogs, mostly because I've been so busy reading the Harry Potter books and now watching the Harry Potter movies (1 a night until the midnight premiere!). But I just wanted to share something quick that I wrote about the Harry Potter book series. It pretty well explains why I love them so much and why the world loves them so much.

Harry Potter can be so sad sometimes, with all the evil and everyone dying. Sometimes it’s funny, and sometimes it’s happy. But I think the real magic of Harry Potter comes from how real and relatable it is to us. There are so many characters, some good, some evil, and most who are just trying to protect their loved ones and stay alive. They are all fighting for the thing they believe is right, whether it is right for themselves or right for someone else. The touching aspect of it all though, is the fact that the world of Harry Potter  is not much different from ours. The only difference is that they fight with magical wands and enchanted things, whereas we fight with weapons and words. And that simple, very true similarity to us is what really makes the Harry Potter books so amazingly and wonderfully magical. :)

5 Days. I'm going insane. I keep watching this trailer:
